I know that it is hard to find interesting books from the early writings, this book written in 1917 and about the 1730's is very interesting its too bad the Author wrote so few works and I believe this is his only fiction work. I could be wrong in that but I did look for more works by George W. Glough and could find only this one in a fiction genre. The writing is crisp and clear except where the author is quoting the Scot dielect but it is still easy to figure out what is said. The story of an English land owner during Bonnie Prince Charlie's bid for the throne of England and the influential Jacobites at that time. Interesting read.Product details
